Do you have Adverse Credit Problems?

CCJs, decrees, defaults and arrears prevent individuals obtaining mortgages.

However, notwithstanding such problems, it is still possible to get a mortgage, even if you do have an "adverse credit rating".

Albyn Associates Financial Management can advise and assist you in these complex areas.

How Do You Find Out What Adverse Credit You Have?

The two companies who provide this service in the UK are:

Albyn Associates Financial Management have no association with the Credit-Reference services offered by Equifax or Experian.

What is Bad or Adverse Credit?
You may have had a financial problem in the past, which resulted in action being taken against you by a company or other individual. This could have been due to:

  • Payment Defaults
  • County Court Judgments (CCJ's), or in Scotland, Sheriff Court Decrees
  • Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVA's), or in Scotland, Trust Deeds
  • Bankruptcy
  • Repossession

So, I've Got Bad Credit, Can I Still Get a Mortgage?
Yes, you can.  Depending on how bad your credit level actually is, it is still possible to get a mortgage. There are a number of specialist lenders who can offer mortgages, and even some of the high street lenders will lend in certain cases.

At Albyn Associates Financial Management we work closely with all these lenders to assist your mortgage application.
